Fishing & Boating in the Northwoods
Today’s pace is, admittedly, much faster than the one that I can remember from the years during which I grew up. We lived in a town with a river running through the middle of it. I spent most of my time – at least until sports got in the way – fishing and boating on, and swimming in that river, by myself and with friends.
I loved every minute of it. But what I loved even more was the time spent in the Northwoods on vacations with my family, during the summer months. I am not sure anything could ever replace that. I now cherish my time on the water with my wife. We water ski, fish and both enjoy vacations in the Northwoods.
Nonetheless, a family vacation is still one of the best opportunities to reconnect with the ones who are most dear to you. I hope you have the opportunities to vacation with family, and I hope to see you On the Lake!

Also known by some as Jack, Jackfish, Wolf, Gator, or Pickeral, Mr. Pike (Esox lucius)

As I sit here and look out the window at the snow swirling around my
Fishing since the age of eight. Seriously writing since the age of 16. Chef and foodie from the age of 22 years… and counting. So much to learn and so little time. I have enjoyed every minute of it all. Whether on the water (where I like it best), in the kitchen, or at the keyboard, churning out content, I feel like I have found my place. I am sharing it with you in the hope that some of what I love to do will rub off on you. I hope to see you On the Lake!
