You really can’t get a whole lot farther north and still be in the state of Wisconsin. But when you get to the Eagle River area, you may not want to leave. It is the Northwoods at its very best. Nicely nestled up against a chain of 28 lakes – the largest chain of freshwater lakes in the world – and very close to the headwaters of the Wisconsin River, the town of Eagle River offers a full four seasons of fun and enjoyment.
With thousands of acres of Federal and state forest lands and many hundreds of lakes that range in size from 50 to 4,000 acres, there is every opportunity for every kind of water activity imaginable. (more info on the ten lakes that make up the chain)

Fishing since the age of eight. Seriously writing since the age of 16. Chef and foodie from the age of 22 years… and counting. So much to learn and so little time. I have enjoyed every minute of it all. Whether on the water (where I like it best), in the kitchen, or at the keyboard, churning out content, I feel like I have found my place. I am sharing it with you in the hope that some of what I love to do will rub off on you. I hope to see you On the Lake!
