Wisconsin Dells, Lake Delton & Baraboo Known
to most of the residents of the northern portion of Illinois simply as
“The Dells” and located on 60-plus acres of Wisconsin River frontage just
off Interstate 94 and about 2 hours north of Madison, the Wisconsin
Dells/Lake Delton area is simply one of the best close-by destination
areas to which one can journey.

Cars,
Trains and Ducks!
We decided to simply go scout out a lake not far from a familiar
destination and return again at a later date to fish...
Suddenly Lauren said: "Why don't we go just for fun and spend the
night - we can go have dinner at that little place where you once
had a blue gill fish fry?" (07/06)

There are more hotel rooms and campsites than can be imagined, and things
to do are, to put it mildly, endless. The Dells area is approximately 4
hours from the Chicago area and the drive is relatively easy – unless you
undertake to start the trip at 4:00 pm on a Friday night! There are water
parks and water activities galore, plenty of amusements, gift shops and
scenic trails, fishing, camping and golfing… the list is endless. And oh,
by the way, there are always the world-famous Ducks: the amphibious WWII
vehicles that travel on land and water – always a must see In the Dells.
Trademarked as the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” it is definitely a
family kind of place!
