 Detroit Lakes
Located in Becker County in west central Minnesota is an area – and a
city – called Detroit Lakes. Within 25 miles are found more than 400
of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. Like so much of Minnesota, Detroit Lakes
offers sparkling waters in which to swim, water ski or fish, vast and
inviting forests loaded with wildlife for nature lovers and
photographers alike. There are trails for hiking and bicycling,
meticulously manicured courses for the golfer, museums to browse,
restaurants and shopping areas to visit. With all of this and so much
more, why not plan a vacation to Detroit Lakes? It’s a great place to
explore… again, or for the very first time!

Removing

Many people
have written me to ask if there is a trick to removing the skin from
a northern pike, especially since there is a bit of extra knowledge
required to get rid of those nasty Y-bones. The answer is: not

Boat Batteries
Most of us take our boat batteries for granted, in
much the same manner as we do our car batteries. I used to do
that. In fact, I had a car that sat in the warmth of the garage all
winter. I thought that an occasional blast from a charger would be
