BORDER VIEW LODGE - LAKE OF THE WOODS FISHING REPORT April 18, 2010

There are many anglers taking advantage of Sturgeon catch and release, Northern is also open and remains open year around. We have availability on our charters for Sturgeon fishing. Saturday the 24th opens the harvest season for Sturgeon, catch one over 75 inches and you are about guaranteed the state record.

Spring seems to be coming early and in a hurry, we have been able to open water fish in front of the resort since March 19th. Usually it is now that we are determining the winner of the open water in front of the resort bet.

we are in our project and deep cleaning mode. We are getting the docks settled in and leveled from frost issues of winter, we are also resetting the bait house. We are preparing to stain the decks and as always do more cleaning as we transition from winter to summer. The weather has been excellent and the golf course has been open for about a week now. Nobody recalls the golf course being open this early before. Currently we have 3 of our charter boats in the water and taking trips which nobody recalls doing that this early either.

We are looking forward to a great summer season. We have now started a midweek special for July!
